Artist Statement

I move to move people. I dance because it makes me feel fulfilled in telling stories about myself and others like no other experience can. In this, I find who I am, who I am becoming, and who I am meant to be. I believe that dance is a form of communication that can be understood by anyone no matter any differences that might seem to separate us. My movement reflects these ideals in my attention to detail, fluidity in full-bodied movement, and deep personal connection to movement and stories. With my technical training, I am able to embody different styles but always rely on my strong foundation to excel and drive my movement. I aspire to be able to inspire others through dancing and sharing myself, as many have inspired me.

Mission Statement

I am a dancer who strives to continue to learn and grow every day, in and out of a dance studio. I use dance as an outlet to find my deepest meaning, passions, and purpose in life. To me, dance creates a safe space for myself and others that nothing else allows. Dance creates my most authentic self through self-reflection, resilience through failures, and trying to foster change I believe is needed in the dance community.

Vision Statement

I envision myself gaining more knowledge and experience through professional performance and training to become the best version of myself as an artist and a human. This will then allow me to share the knowledge I gained with future generations of artists, students, peers, and teachers. I am determined to use that shared knowledge to see change and foster a more positive, inclusive, joyful, and healthy dance community and dancer-teacher dynamic.
